These mandrels are made with pride in our workshop in Berlin, Germany. They are made out of high alloy stainless steel. The high content of alloying elements in the steel reduces the conductivity of the steel, preventing your fingers from getting too hot.

Because the mandrel is relatively thin, it is much more susceptible to melting, so be careful not to overheat the mandrel. It will melt!

Our very thin mandrels (1.0mm, 1.2mm and 1.6mm) tend to be not completely straight. This is due to the process of drawing the wire. If you want perfectly straight mandrels, please do not order these mandrels.
