Mandrel 1.0mm x 23cm

This is the thinnest diameter mandrel that we carry. We use this mandrel for making small beads for ear studs. We melt a small ball of glass on the end of the mandrel so that the whole does not go all the way through. When the bead has been removed from the mandrel and the bead release has been cleaned out, we then glue an ear stud into the whole.

Because the mandrel is relatively thin, it is much more susceptible to melting, so be careful not to overheat the mandrel.

These very thin mandrels tend to not be completely straight. This is due to the process of drawing the wire. If you want perfectly straight mandrels, please don´t order these mandrels.
