Description from Double Helix:
Okeanos 2 is a blue striking and reducing color. Reformulated with the same nucleation system as Terra 3 and Ekho 2, it strikes to a range of blues, greens, purples and amber. It works well on the surface or encased. Super-heating can cause phase separation, resulting in webbing. Okeanos 2 is capable of developing a subtle luster and retaining that luster under clear encasement.
Okeanos 2 is easy to strike using the reset/cool/warm sequence. Our benchmark times for surface application are Reset/30 seconds, cool/30 seconds, strike. Specific times and color outcomes vary depending on several factors.
This glass is excellent for glass bead making and other types of glass lampworking, and is compatible with other glass rods that have a coefficient of expansion of "104".
