The Griffin Glass Tools Graphite Reamer (2–15mm, Menzie Series) is an essential tool for lampwork bead makers. Used to smooth, clean and enlarge bead holes while the glass is still warm, the graphite tip glides effortlessly without sticking. Perfect for beginners and experienced artists alike.
Vermiculite is a mineral that has very good insulating properties. It is a great way to cool down the straight lampwork beads in it. We recommend 3 liters, so the heat is stored longer. This fine grain size provided here is the standard, some makers prefer the larger/coarser vermiculite which we also retail, see in the same category.
A tip: Place the pot with vermiculite on a hot plate. It also reduces possible tensions in the beads.
Ideal to clean the finished glass beads: our diamond file set with four different files, from thin elongated to a diameter of about 5mm. Please make sure release agent is always under running water, the diamond files are otherwise dull after a short time.
This glass rod rest sits conveniently on your work bench and has room for 15 glass rods to lie on it. It is approximately 21cm long and 23cm high. It prevents the hot tips of the glass rods from making contact with something else on your work bench.
This masher is intended for flattening beads on the mandrel. It is made completely out of stainless steel.
